Hey guys I am back! The Kpop music scene is blasting with new albums this week so let’s get it all started with the group I was most anticipating over! HISTORY!!!!!!

Seriously I am so happy When I heard they were making a comeback that I just had to wait till they released their album before I got on here. The boys dropped their 5th mini album titled “HIM”

which has a total of six songs which are “Wild Boy”, “Queen”, “Baby, Hello”, “그럴 때면” (Dokyun (도균) Solo), “LOST” and “Liar”.

The album kicks off with “Wild boys” which starts off with an in-you-face rap intro. The song literally slaps your face with the loud, popping drum beats and rhythm. Incorporating EDM music into mainstream songs seems to slowly getting into the “IT” zone and this song is just one example of it. The song incorporates a multitude of styles in terms of genre, rhythm and style. The song is really up and out there and the tension that it creates before the beat drops is epic.

If the last song didn’t get to off your seat, then let “Queen” put you in the freak mode. The song sings about getting out and crazy in the dance floor with a lady, “Queen” makes sure to pack quiet a sexy punch in the chorus lines. This song is addicting to listen to because of the beats and the rhythm and the lyrics which are arbitrary.

The music video does its best to show the boys as the men they are meant to be viewed as. This starting dance move says it all.

Overall the music video gives out some pretty visuals but I suggest you stick to listening the song on its own.

Let us slow things down with a sweet romantic ballad about meeting and getting the attention of the lady. “Baby, hello” is a sweet romantic song that shows off the boys melodic creations and their croon worthy voice. This love song is simple and it’s easy to follow beats give it a feel good vibe.

With “그럴 때면” the spotlight falls on Dokyun. This heart melting drama OST like song has the vocals of a dream. The song is beautiful for the beautiful melody it creates and the unthinkable high notes in it. Dokyun’s true colours come out rather beautifully in this number, this is a must listen to in this album.

Up next is “Lost”

Another tidal wave sweeping number “Lost” kicks off in voyages’ fervours and blends it with some electro pop twerks. The song stays true to the rock/ electro pop genre with its layers of melody and overflowing harmonies and vocals. This song is tremendous and an easy favourite. Get ready to get lost in the vocals of History with this song.

The last song of this package is “Liar” which is another ballad infused melody. This song sings about a relationship hiccup but takes a whole hearted genuine feel towards it. I like the comparisons that go one in this song, you should really take a listen to it. I think I have said that like a couple of times already in this album but that is because it is really good. “Liar” is a simplistic blend of a heart break song but has a genuine feel to it. I like how they switch from rock to ballad and making sure to give a bit of both worlds.
