Rocker styled bands have always been a favourite of mine for a while now. And ever since listening to "Drawing the line" by Royal Pirates, I have become so obsessed with, I get giddy when I hear news of them...

And now that they have come out with album 3.3, I decided to let you guys know which songs are total favourites, a must listen and gush worthy..

so here we go!

The album starts with 'Let U go'..
but wei senpai, nuuuuuuuu!

The song is actually a love song that talks about NOT being able to let the girl go. I guess I missed the "Not" part and overreacted there. hheheheheh. Anyway, the song is simple and has a good follow through beat and Moon's voice is amazing, Guitar rifts on points baby, 10 on 10!

The album has a great start and I am already hyped to know what more they can give.

The second song is titled "Too Fast" ooohhhh I wonder what could they be referring to?

This song is like techno new age songs that talk about getting high on love and eagerly waiting to see the girl who is the cause of it all. The song has an 'aaawww' moment which you have to listen to find out. hhheheh. The chorus is addictive, so that is an added plus.

'Run away' is a the title song of the album and by far, it made me go efhheuh. The song speaks of pain and agony and so much suffering and how running towards the girl makes it all somewhat better.. I don't really know about that but its love, and I will run away with you anywhere.

ooooppppppppppppppaaaaaaaaaaaa! I am coming!

The music video has some artsy class going on!. The depiction and the use of imagery in the music video is so clear and on point that it is an visual treat on the whole. This man, James! he so.... fab, when all things burn down and the chains break apart, I am like

I heard that this song touches an inner cord with the members, I know most and all of their songs show a piece of them, but this song speaks volumes about each members be it Moon and his sibling, Sooyoon and his mother or James facing his own shortcomings. Be what it may be, I choose not to delve deep into that, but that could be what makes the song that much more touching and resonates with their listeners. This is an easy favorite and I recommend that you listen to it,

Finally a straight down crooning tune with a rocking melody. There is something about this song that set its apart, whether it is the high pitch voice or the repetitive phase "U and I". "U & I" is a love song that you can listen to anytime, any day. When I listened to this song, I just wanted to get up and sway ever so lady-like.

The song ends with such a climatic finish, I feel I was left on top of the cliff, I was expecting more.

As if the concept of love and its risque features haven't been so dazzlingly touched upon before, here is a song that is ever so clear titled 'Dangerous'. The girl, who Royal Pirate is singing about in this song, is supposed to be a dangerous woman, well in case you didn't know..

mmmhmhmhmmhmmhmmhmhmhm!

But that aside, the beats in this song is beyond the best I have heard form this band. The song builds the tension oh-so-perfectly! I love how the beats go when it builds up to the chorus. This song is such a must listen but I doubt it is going to be a favourite of many. This song goes into goth/ deathmetal mode towards the end and ME LIKE THAt

'Without you' starts off like a backstreet boys track and that immediately kicks in me the feels baby!

The song leans more on the mellow rock ballad style which is a pleasant surprise next to all the hard-rock song that came before. The song has the swaying melody and need I say about the guitar solo

I know they are a band, and that they know their stuff and what they put int their music, but this is musical genius at its best. I MEAN COME ON!. You have got to get the album just for the last song if anything else. The song is amazing and the musicality of it is pure perfection. An amazing love song, hands down!

Good points I think about the album is that, the western influence in terms of musicality. We know that Royal Pirates are originally from the state and I love the fact that they blend the two sides together. It gives the songs they create a sense of defined recognition and homey feel to anyone who listens.

Let me know what you think about the album. Whereas I am going to the garage to form a band of my own..

Money money maney maneh muney mugay! Now where is that contract?

Hey guys! how is life treating ya? Oh HO OH I am going good, great even! Look at me, Just look..

   That irreplaceable smile!

But thank god it is December! Ever since I found out that PSY is making a comeback, I just had to keep calm and wait till his comeback... I was all calm on the outside but inside I was like

huff hufff fufhfhf PSY ufhuehuewuhefuhuiefhhef *gasp gasp*

for those of you who are interested about the nitty gritties of details, PSY's seventh album, simply titled PSY THE 7TH ALBUM has long since been anticipated because 1. PSY himself and 2. for his battalion of other featuring artists in his tracks.

The album has a total of nine tracks which are Dance Jockey, 'Remember You' featuring Zion.T, 'Napal Baji' (bell bottom pants), 'Daddy' featuring CL from 2ne1, 'Dream' featuring Xia from JYJ, 'RocknRollbaby' featuring Will.i.am, 'The Day will come' featuring Jun In Kwon, 'Mister/ uncle Swag' featuring Gaeko from Dynamic Duo and 'Sing' with Ed Sheeran.

Now lets delve into the songs, shall we?

The album starts of with this bang!-in-your-face-ha!-I'm-better-than-you track, where the big man himself is telling you that he is the dance jockey. the song has some quirky retro jazz notes in the background which is layered with a simple dance rhythm beat. The song more then something revisits the old schools theme. Got me going like.

'Remember you' is a song for the past, dedicated to your high school loves of the youthful days, if you know what I am sayin'

the song reminisces the good old days when love and life was simpler than now. Even the melody of the song is more old school, reminds me of the time when shiny leotards and yoga pants where all the rage.. that was where my old school lovers are at, baby!

Zion.T's voice adds a subtlety to the song as the chorus is more simple and straightforward, his voice really gets to you. I don't know what the concept here is, maybe PSY is trying to showcase the evolution of music from the past till now. Whatever it is, this is a song has a feel good nostalgic vibe to it..

When 'Napal Baji' started I didn't feel much but when he screamed 'Napal Baji' and the beats suddenly shot up, I knew that

yas yas yas yas yas yas! SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!

the song is funky, fresh bright and has the most appropriate music video I have ever seen! The song if you haven't guessed by now, is a tribute to the 80's fashion of Bell bottom pants or the literally translation of the song title would be "Trumpet Pants". The song's chorus made me feel young again!

If the pant dedicated song didn't floor you then this song is bound to push you off with no warning whatsoever!

'Daddy' is one of those songs that is meant more for the international crowd as the lyrics basically show off the singer's pride in his brand built name. Daddy is quirky confident and just all out fun song that forces you to let things loose and dance.

or at least nod your head to it.

quiet frankly CL featuring in the song is more for the eye candy aspect in the music video than the song. She makes an entrance like a ninja or some combat character by doing a front roll flip and then asking PSY where he got his body from. A mere accessory in the music video like all those girl characters in action games.

All fun and games makes PSY look like a carefree man. But if you have been an ardent follower of the veteran, PSY is not someone you can take for granted. His true musical skills shine through after his title song. 'Dream' is a heat felt song with an invigorating theme around it. PSY's matter of fact style matches well with Xia's crooning tunes. The song is mellow but makes sure to leave a mark...

When I read that THE WILL.I.AM was featuring in one of PSY's tracks, all I had to say was..

Expectations are high for 'Rockandroll baby' and thankfully, the song does not disappoint but just merely makes it. Like my sensei said "safe but sorry"

(boy how she enjoyed putting me on the spot)

The song talks about seizing or even freezing the day and having fun till daylight (I think). Mind you the song does take its own sweet time getting to the chorus, but from then on, the music stays steady.

This dance song is surprising not overpowering with its beats but it does sort of get worn out by the end, but, like the song, I don't give a f..... fun!

Tensions run strong in the song about looking on at the bleak future with a glimmer of hope at heart. Veteran powerhouses coming together about a song titled 'The Day will come' is such a moving number. The song is moving and very reflective. Jun In Kwon's voice in the chorus is more like a mesmerizing chant of a sorcerer putting down an ultimatum. The song is worth listening to bruh and the fact that I am not incorporating a gif to emphasis that means that I am serious.

Throw your reason out the window as 'Mister Swag' is here to throw his two cents worth of wisdom at you!

fooled you.
The song is mildly invigorating and is a happy go lucky fast paced song. Gaeko's intrusions in the song adds a fun twist in the song and unlike the other feature artists who compliment one another, Gaeko and PSY build up off on one another in the song.

The sly fox put in a GD reference in the song.. oh you! you clever little thing, you probably dig a jiggie over that, didn't you?

I am guessing the last song is a little something throw in there, you know a little extra for them ladies

the song is a remixed version of the original song by Ed Sheeran "Sing", the song is unusually for its blend, but doesn't match up well with the originals of all the tracks that came before.

The album is simply fantastic, truly motivating but not with an in-your-face sort of manner. The songs are simple and relatable.

I am attaching the full length album for you to listen to.

Let me know what you think, I am so curious to know what you think about it.

Don't you just hate it when you sent someone a text and they don't respond at all, like at all at all! especially when you are in the mood to actually talk, you know, like talk talk? at times like these I just want to break the phone down

And that was exactly how I felt when I listened to the chorus of this song. I wanted to bash out everything. This song has been playing on repeat all day long here! JuB and Gummy, Slay!

ha! the song is sad and deep which is exactly what the autumn season is all about - heart breaks! This harsh season is the perfect time for sad, departing songs. So listen to this song and cry a few tears!

And the next time some one doesn't respond to your text, you know what to do.

Hey Chingudeuls! Just wanted to share this news with you, Because you are my friend after all, I mean come on!

I got accepted to work with Korea Nation! If you don't know what that is, it is an online site that basically gives out news on and anything about South Korea! I am so excited that I am working for them! You should check the site out. The site has just started so there is a lot of work that needs to be done, but rest assured, we are getting there!

Here is the link Korea Nation

Also, there might be cases where news or info might overlap in both Korea Nation and SpotmyKorea. I want to make sure that doesn't happen though, but if it does you should know that it is the same person who wrote this, so there is no Plagiarism that is going on. Yup, that was basically why I wanted to write that down here, so yeah, make sure you check that site and check this site too and keep yourself posted on both the sites. Maybe someday. we would collaborate or something.

Verbal Jint and Sanchez dropped their mini album titled 'Yeoja'. I don't know about you but I like the name of the album, after all it is a word we often use in the blog here. HEY! HEY!

The mini album contains seven songs - 'Good times', 'Favourite!', 'Spot the difference', 'My type 2.5', 'Doin it', 'Body to body' and 'Good night'. Verbal Jint and Sanchez have collaborated with so many people in this album too!

The album begins with a toast to all the good things in life. 'Good times' is a song which talks about living the good life, surrounded by good people and eating some good food. The songs disses out the unnecessary things that could possibly get in the way of leading the good life. The song merely seeps us into the correct mood for the coming tracks.

The second track was chosen to the promotional track and there are many reasons to why it could have been chosen. 'Favourite' is a happy cheerful song that speaks of meeting the one by accident. The song states that the man would be careful this time as his past relationships have taught him plenty. What is unique about this track is it's multiple references- the lines your eyes, your nose and your lips could easily been a reference of Taeyang's' Eyes, Nose, Lips' and there is also the mention of 'Cray- on'- a reference to GDragon, but what possibly takes the winning cake is the direct shout out to Choa of AOA. The lyrics state that the current lady love is his favourite just as Choa is. Not the best confession to make in reality but nonetheless is a daring statement to hear even in a song.

'Spot the difference' is a song that talks about being in love and the sense of being together with the lady love. The love song is sweet and romantic and in a way does continue with the previous track which is technically a confession. This song has a mellow beat and an overpowering melody. A refreshing song to listen to.

Kang Min Kyung of Davichi feature in the song of compatibility 'Type 2.5'. This song goes for a more club like feel with its clapping beats and its caressing guitar riffs. The song continues with the theme of love as this song builds on the ideas of "made for each other". Musicality-wise, this song has so much in it and in all is power packed to be a favourite of many.

My favourite tracks are the coming two songs which all talk about ahm-ahm!

Bumkey features in this song about a woman who stays in the relationship only for its intimacy. 'Doin it' talks about the girl who hates everything the man is or does but stays by him because he is good in bed. This song delves into the dark side of relationships that have lost their meaning. Not the conventional type of song but hey it was actually nice to listen to.

'Body to body' or more literally translated as 'Under your ear' is a more heated track to listen to. The song as such talks of intimacy and the acts of such. The song is sung in a whisper like manner as the lyrics glide over the music. Le of EXID bombards into the tracks and adds dynamics to the already visual track. In all, this song is seductive and alluring.

After reaching new heights with their love songs, the two members bring the album to its close by singing 'Good Night'. This song has a penetrating melody that would resonate deep within. The song is unlike the others in terms of mood, tempo and beat that it is surprising and draws much attention to it. And the album thus comes to an end with is sorrowful departing song.

Check out the music video above, Chingu!

Please comment below, Chingu. I really want to know what is on your mind.

No I am not being racist towards Pandas! that would be just plain rude, no?

I am talking about that song which was created as a collaboration of Hyorin, Zico and Paloalto!

I know what you are thinking, but it released a while ago so why are you talking about that now?

well cause I was too busy jamming to the song that I didn't have time to tell you then, so I am telling you now.

I was so jammin to this song that I actually wanted to know what the lyrics meant. Turns out it wasn't about a Panda that had gone bad and was creating havoc by riding over others, killing them and was now targeting you. BUMMER!

The song was something about light versus dark blah blah blah blah blah blah ba ba blah blah blah blah! so where does the panda come into all this? why Panda? why dark Panda and not bright Panda?

you tell me, Chingu.

Listen to the song below and tell me why the song is called "Dark Panda"

Click on the 'cc' button to get the lyrics on screen, Bruh!

If you haven't found a logical reason as to why the song is titled 'Dark Panda' hit replay and go through it again!

AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Two friends came together after nine years and released this awesome song, I mean how cool is that!

Dok2 and Microdot's reunion had been the talk of the industry for the past couple of weeks and when they dropped the singles track it was the talk of the town. It talked the talked and walked the walked, Chingu. I don't know about you but I basically listened to this track the entire time I wrote this.....

Basically the main theme of the song is defending one's dream and trying to live it up against all odds, protecting one's dream like a dedicated Goal Keeper. The flow of the rap oscillates from fast to medium pace as the two rappers talk about being on top and making it big. Their long absence in the field together is not a matter to them as they are confident that they would easily make it to the top. That being said, it is no doubt that they have already proved their mettle by creating possibly one of the most versatile rap tracks of this month.

Their English is spot on and absolutely a joy to listen to, cause you know sudden English in Korean songs got me like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. The songs sick beat will get you easily addicted however do pay close attention to the lyrics of the song

Please do check out 'Goal Keeper' by Dok2 and Microdot.

Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it has already been a year since Rise and EunB left us. It feels like the nightmare repeats itself over and over again all this time cause I could swear it still feels yesterday when I heard the news…… It’s been a year…….

Ashley, Sojung and Zuny and many others from Polaris Entertainment came together in the Tokyo Shinagawa Stellar Ball to conduct a memorial concert for Rise and EunB. I can’t and don’t really want to say much because it still pricks me…….. I thought I should put it up here to show that I care and that I will always look at Ladies’ code as a five member group . . . always five.

They sang a new song titled 'I will smile even if it hurts' and the other Polaris Entertainment artists Yang Dong Geun, Ivy, Rumble Fish and Kim Bum Soo sang 'I'm fine, thank you'

watch the clipping of the compilation of the memorial concert below.

For days I was fixed like this when I heard VIXX was coming up with a subunit that had Ravi and Leo in it...
If that wasn't bad enough for my health, I accidentally saw the teaser images

Wae bae, wae bea, wae! Huh? Wae you do this, huh?
I just had to see the music video.

But quite frankly though, the music video blew my mind, it was so so beautifully shot, I fell in love in the music video, that I just had to put it up here for all of you to see exactly what this music video is actually about. So hit play and watch the scenes with me. Chinguduels!

Leo is sitting all alone, cho swad, cheo chweet, cho kiyute! What is the problem?

Poparoo! The problem is this wedding invitation.

What? How? You ask? Well getting invited to a wedding is cute and all but what outfit do you wear when the invitation comes with a dry plant attached to it? I guess the people want the guests to dress in shades of dried up lavenders….if that is a shade at all,…. Which is not a colour Leo and that Yeoja have in their wardrobe, ergo they are sad….

So sad, so sad Imma throw clothes down! So sad so sad, Imma show my thigh ma!

While the Yeoja tries her own methods to clam herself down, Leo tries to block all the bad zen and wasteful chi from his surroundings and goes into deep concentration mode while mildly mumbling over his mistake of perhaps buying too many mirrors.

while in this mode, Leo comes up with an idea of borrowing clothes for the wedding rather than buying new and wasting cash on them. Leo can think of only one person who's colour palate and clothing choice would adhere to both his and the Yeoja's (who wears white canvas shoes with a dress) style...

Wasting no time at all Leo tries to call Ravi who is in the midst of a very important photo shoot!

LOOKIN GOOD AS ALWAYS! YEY!
Anyways, so after the invigorating photo shoot, the two try to bring together their inner zen and come to a sort of agreement.

To get on the good side of Ravi, Leo even goes to the extent of serenading him with a song that talks of Ravi's beautiful clothes, his perfect hair, his voice and every other thing that makes him beautiful.

Smitten by the efforts, Ravi agrees to lend Leo and the Yeoja some violet clothes but there is something Leo must give in return.. Ravi asks Leo to let go of the Yeoja and join him on his tour around Korea where he will spread music and love to all. Leo is indecisive and goes home caught between matters.

Leo slowly feels inner conflict and what proceeds is a series of indecisiveness on the part of Leo which leads to pain and hurt on others! I couldn't find the Gifs for these so I am afraid you will have to make do with the pictures.

Do I chose freedom or Love? Leo ponders.

Leo's imagination conjures up images of Ravi possibly overtaking the Yeoja. YOU GO BOY!

The Yeoja finally steps up to the podium and decides to take matter into her own hands, She offers Leo an ultimatum - the Keys to her heart!
Yeah, that's right keys.

Leo stutters and actually considers talking the keys... it is better to be miserable with someone than be happy alone.

what?
Unless, you actually considered that a mild possibility.
But that doesn't happen here!
Ravi snatches up the keys and gives a glare at the Yeoja.

"Well, two can play that game" his eyes tell her.

While Ravi tries to be the middle man between the two, trying to salvage what little is left of this possible relationship, Yeoja realizes she is no match for Ravi's charm and makes a dash for it.

Ashamed on behalf of his male friend. Ravi calls out to the woman asking her to be a man and face him. Leo knows fully well that this is the end and stops Ravi from going after her.

What happens afterwards is a ritualistic dance performed by the two by the beach to commemorate their new found friendship A.K.A the bachelor life together

Once the ceremony is over, Leo tries to grasp a hold of his new found reality by tickling the ivories. Ravi decides to tell Leo something he didn't tell him before.

"The agreement was a lie. I made it up so you could break away and be free. Now fly my child!"

Unable to understand the concept of freedom and confusing it with the though of being alone in the world, Leo becomes obsessive and desperately tries to cling on to Ravi, which happens to be my favourite scene in the music video.

Don't mind if I do....

In a rather sad ending, Ravi tells Leo that he has to deal with himself alone in this world just like everybody else........ *Sniff sniff*

Ravi leaves...

and Leo looks around and then looks at us in a accusing manner......

YOU ARE ALL LIARS! DECEIVERS! ALL SUCH BEAUTIFUL LIARS! AND I AM COWARD FOR HIDING BEHIND ONE!

and that is how the music video comes to an end.

I absolutely love this music video! is there a music video which you like? let us know.

Moving along I wanted to add what I wrote about the album in the Koreanation website:

The titular song “Beautiful Liar” is composed by Ravi, as are “Remember” and “Ghost”. Leo composed “Words to Say” and “My Light”. Both members also wrote lyrics for all the songs. The title song has ‘Beautiful Liar’ is a song about lying to one’s beloved in a bid to break apart from one another. The song goes on to explain that this white lie is only for the lady’s good- for her to live a better life without this man. The song is heart wrecking and Leo’s vocal and Ravi’s rap adds depth and dimension to the song.
This song best stands as an example of their excellent lyrical skills and vocals. The song is addictive for all the good reasons. ‘Remember’ begins with Leo’s whisper like singing with leads to a burst of beats with Ravi’s raps. The song is a perfect culmination of the two artists as the tracks beautifully blends the better of the two together. Leo borrow the spotlight for some alone time in the third track ‘Speechless’. The track has a powerful chorus line which swings back and forth with the melody. The subtle piano tunes balanced on a heavy beat give this track a tension that is gripping.
Following Leo, Ravi delivers a solo with ‘Ghost’. Ravi’s song is true to his group as the song has a haunting melody and speedy drum beat. Ravi delivers, or in modern terms, slays. His track oozes with personality and swag that the song could easily fit into anyone’s taste. Leo and Ravi come together for the last track ‘My Light’ which brightens up the mood with its rather cheery intro and peppy lyrics. The song is a great way to wrap up the album on a light and happy mood. This album which best exhibits the duo and all they are known for.
