ADMIN VIRGIL

Hello! today we are going to do a review on Taeyeon's comeback mini album "Why". I am all for cursive handwritings but this title font for her album is one of the laziest way to write the three letter word.

The album has a total of seven song in it which are:

01. Why
02. Starlight (Feat. DEAN)
03. Fashion
04. Hands on Me
05. Up & Down (Feat. 효연 (HYOYEON))
06. Good Thing

07. Night

"Why" is a beautiful track about love and asking/claiming that the loved one is still in the singer's thoughts. The song is beautiful and its subtle EDM vibe really clicks well with Taeyeon's textured of vocal which is soft and flows like water. I especially love it when she sings "Why~". A beautiful track to kick off the album.

"Starlight" is a love duet and features DEAN in it and boy does the man deliver or what! hahahah His subtle soft voice surprises matches well with Taeyeon's softer vocals. The song has an addicting chorus line and the two really sound like they are in love. Such a pretty song.

The music video for both "Starlight" and "WHY" are supposed to be see in correlation with one another, and in the order that I have mentioned it. I am not really a delver in plot when it comes to KPop music video cause very few of them even have any but apparently this here is quite a story! Teayeon is supposedly meant to be some kind of alien and meets DEAN on her visits spends time with him but leaves when her land calls her. In the next video ("WHY"), she comes back to Earth only to realize that she is too late. Aesthetics is SM's key point and is well used in both of these music videos.

Enough "love and lost" tales now it is time for some "Fashion"! This song has a bass dance track which is mild but builds towards the chorus. I love how SM is now slowly incorporating a lot EDM soundtracks into artists' tracks. A fresh groovy number!

I love how intricately "Hands on Me" starts- the falling melody provide by the piano is so moving and adds a sense of depth in the tracks. This melody layered with electronic accompaniments really lifts the essence of the tracks but I feel that Teayeon is on a different tangent with the tracks. I can clearly see a distinction between the voice and melody, I don't really thing they blend well with one another. A shame.

"Up and Down" features HyoYeon and if my girl H is in something I will give it a listen and a good thing I did. The two one up each other in this incredibly eighties inspired track number. I love the tension this track creates and the beats are clean and slick, it is different form what I have been listening to till now. If feels like listening to some old-school Broadway performance. I would really like to see the performance video for this track for once.

I don't really know what Taeyeon is asking for when she sings "give me the good thing" in this track "Good thing". The tempo and tune of this song sounds vaguely familiar to me perhaps you can help me figure it out in the comments section below! In all I neither like nor hate this track, it is sort off in the middle section. Something about this track is off putting.

The last track in the album is "Night" which has a generic beat and doesn't really show her vocal skills in the beat light. I feel her voice gets drowned in the overwhelming soundtrack.

I feel this album was rushed and was really prepared well and I very much prefer her debut solo album to this. It is kinda like saying that we prefer the first film to its sequel but that is how it is here, the first album was way better and showed her skills off well. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

Why hello there people of the interwebs!~ Just when you thought you were having a peaceful day Tiffany just decided to waltz into your life and drop her solo debut album and walk away

YES THAT'S RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~ TIFANNY'S SOLO ALBUM IS OUT AND HERE'S THE REVIEW!~

Now I for one was completely excited when this happened, I mean did you guys check her Snapchat? she was just teasing away to glory. ( stephanieyoungh is her snapchat ID if you didn't know but please this is the SONE fandom we is updated okay?)

SO THE THE COMEBACK MV DROPPED AND I WAS LIKE GURRRRRRRRRRL OMG WHAT'S GOOD!

Her title track is I JUST WANNA DANCE which sadly did not meet my expectations. I mean don't hate on me I like the song but its not so great, I was looking forward to a drop before the chorus that would just elevate it to the next level but that never happened? half way through the song i was pretty bored (now this was while i watched the MV and don't hate on me it gets better i swear) The MV is pretty bleh you have to admit.

What i got from the MV
Tiffany is out somewhere and see's a diner, she enters a diner and magically her Iphone pops up out of nowhere and vibrates as she gets a call from SM asking her to comeback ASAP cause SM wants some doh' and Tiffany's like hoel /blocks SM on her phone and starts singing/ and we are transported to her hotel room where tiffany finally admits she feels good (cue a small glimpse, a throwback to catch me if you can era with change in hairstyle in black and white) Tiffany falls asleeps as she remembers her hectic schedule with SNSD (GIVE THEM A BREAK) and BOOM wakes up in an alternate universe (that's what neon lights indicate) but she assures herself its alright CAUSE MAMA DIDNT RAISE NO FOOL AND SHE'S A BRAVE GIRL. so she runs to the beach and goes to a parking lot (?) and finds her little gang (whats good squad?) and she has a dance break with them, shes wearing a pink see-through-something-idk-but-its-gross-thing and the dance is ????? I mean all of a sudden she decided to do a few pilates and synchronized swimming steps, cause that's my girl Tiff, getting that fitness in no matter what!~ And my girl Tiff is just having fun and enjoying her freedom dancing. Two minutes into the mv Tiff went all Ariana grande on me and i was like
Cause that high note was pretty impressive no lie.

SO yea she's having fun and running around beaches and living the chill life and all of a sudden she wakes up and she's back at the diner and the SM logo appears and i cried cause this means SM got her ;_:

THE END

ANYWAYS, the album has six songs, with I Just Wanna Dance being the title track. I will be honest listening to it is better than watching it. Listen to it 5 to 6 times it can get pretty addictive.

The second track is TALK and gurl let me just like OHMYGOD this song litreally got me

(expect this gif to appear alot because i just love No-Face okay ;_;)

THIS SONG IS WHERE IT'S AT!~ Its absolutely the best in the album for me!~ I enjoyed every bit of this song. This song totally has a ARIANA GRANDE feel to it!~ It kinda has a similar feel to love me harder (I AM NOT SAYING ITS A COPY IM SAYING IT HAS THE SAME FEEL) and you're just grooving to this song and then it hits you like why isnt this the title track?

like SM seriously? Again? you keep messing it up

The third track is Fool, Now fool is Pretty good too!~ (Damn girl like can i have some time to breathe, hitting me in the feels with these songs) I keep getting this Ariana Grande and taylor swift feel from this song. This song is easily a favorite.

The fourth track is What Do I Do, and now you can easily say this whole album has an Ariana grande feel to it. There's alot of 'rounds' happening, and it just makes it so much more addictive to listen to!~ What Do I do is my second favorite. It's going to be stuck in your head for a long time my friend.

The fifth track is Yellow Light, because SM just loves 'em fancy lights, red light, yellow light, green light just keep throwing a traffic signal inside i mean why not? Yellow light has a slow Jazz feel to it. Its a very slow song and a easy listen.

The last track is Once In A Lifetime, which is just easy drama OST, The chorus is just the ending theme of some drama okay? I can feel it in my blood, this is a drama OST my friends. It's an adorable song and has a very happy vibe to it!~ It's just one of those songs you wave your hands to.

On the whole this album is worth a listen. Sadly I just wanna dance is not a favorite to me. The other tracks are all my favorites and its worth a listen!~ The album definitely showcases her vocal ability in a new level and it's absolutely a favorite!~

So that's my album review for Tiffany's solo mini album I Just Wanna Dance!~ Is there an album you want us to check out? or something I missed? Or do you want to let us know your won opinions? Let is know in the comment section!~

we would love to hear from you~ thank you for reading!!~~ ^^

And that was how I was all day listening to HEY-YO-GEE-GEE!

Girls' Generation did this cray cray thing with their fifth album. dividing it into two as a promotional tool thereby doubling their demand and their views and profit. Well it is not fun if you think it like that but hey you sure got the attention you wanted!
The first part of 'Lion Heart' album came out with along with Five songs namely, ‘Lion Heart’, ‘Party’, ‘Fire Alarm’, ‘Green Light’, ‘Paradise’ and ‘Bump it’. With a music video for 'Lion Heart'

In the second day, Girls Generation brought out the remaining songs from their album namely, ‘You think’, ‘Talk Talk’, ‘Show Girls’, ‘One Afternoon’ and ‘Sign’, with the much anticipated music video for ‘You think.

If you thought Partey was addicted wait till you see what else Gee Gee gonna throw at yo!

The titular song ‘Lion Heart’ talks of the man as a lion like beast that continues to beat the heart of the ladies and is supposedly said to be teasing them. The lyrics are cute and easy to follow to making for an addictive track to listen to.

‘Fire Alarm’ has a new age undertone. The lyrics speak of a dangerous love blossoming amidst people trying to stop it. This song and the other coming songs have an addictive underflow in the chorus. This song is worth listening to again.

‘Green Light’ has a techno, peppy beat to it. The song asks the man to go ahead without hesitation. This daring go-for-it song is the best song for summer. The song has a chorus that will most probably linger long after the song ends.

‘Paradise’ has a magical surreal feel to it as the members confess to the man as their paradise. The lyrics are sweet and sensitive in the way as they ask for the man to be by their side and show a sense of dependency in him.

The sixth track ‘Bump it’ is much like a girl’s anthem with its lively beats and its attention gaining chorus. The song speaks of the eternal sensation of being in the spotlight and seeing everything in bright colours as a result of being in love. The member vocals add dimension and colour to the song.

‘You Think’ is upbeat and fun with the girls delivering their vocals in full strength. The lyrics show off an air of confidence and chic. The lyrics challenges the man in a daring manner and the beat makes this amazing song to dance to. The music is that addictive.

‘Talk Talk’ brings down the tempo and turns down to a more rock ballad like melody. A sudden shift in musicality but it is a welcomed acceptance as this song elevates their harmonious voices as they sing together. This song is worth listening to.

‘Show Girls’ was already released in Japanese and this time its Korean alternative is added into the album. This song gives a Broadway feel to it with its ever changing melody which adds drama and flair to it. The song reverts back to the high energised tempo and gives for an amusing listen.

‘One Afternoon’ once again brings down the high tempo and in return twists to a cheery light music effect as the members sing about missing the man from a past relationship and gathering the courage to see him. The piano accompaniment is beautiful and elevates the musicality of the song.

And the album comes to a close with a bang in ‘Sign’. ‘Sign’ has amazing jazz techno beat to it with a saxophone in the midst of them all. The song has a great beat to dance and stand for Girls generation with its stand out beats and harmonization.

The Music video for "Lion Heart" pops with a burst of eye candy as the members deck themselves in retro glamour.

Putting aside the glaring mistake of misspelling ‘Girls’ in the MGM Logo, and with Mr.Lion Man himself in it, the girls enact a drama like scenario with three chapter separations. The three chapters show a progression of how the girls fall for the Lion man, their realization that they all fell for the same Lion man and ends with each girls taking her own sweet revenge on the Lion man. The music video is pure sweetness to see and is definitely worth watching thrice or possibly more, if that sudden leg spreading thingy didn't startle you the first time. Maybe they where trying to catch you off-guard or something or wanted to look sassy like, I dunno know......

After all the hype created for the album and the music videos, ‘You Think’ not only delivered but went all out. The music video for ‘You think’ contradicted in every way possible to ‘Lion Heart’. With synchronised dance moves (which they are known for) and bolder, edgy fashion statements, Gee Gee gave it all alright! but it felt underwhelming to me. I expected power packed performances and for Hyoyeon to SLAY! SLAY! SLAY!

But in all, I loved it! Wonder Girls and now GEE-GEE! Can anything get better?

Admin Virgil.

Like aw mah gwad aw mah gwad aw mah gwad, did you see the new music video Shinee came out with? It is my personal favourite one. Which one of Shinee’s music video is your favourite? Let me know in the comments ok?

Having said that this is my all-time favourite music video I just had to let the world know what this music video actually means …….  To ME! I just had to, Chingudeuls! You all probably thought that the music video talks is about Shinee getting drunk and wasted while the hostess does her way with them…… well wrong you are, cause that was not what it means. This music video shows exactly how certain villains and cult movies came into existence. Like how people actually came up with the way a villain should look and the actual back stories to how these villains came to be or how ideas for certain scenes came to be etc etc and so on and so forth blah blah blu blu ye ye!

So before Shinee goes on to reveals all that, they throw in a statuary announcement- you know, the smoking is injurious to health kind of thing- but this announcement is of a different kind-

Right!

Okay, so the music video begins with Jonghyun driving dead straight into that very sign which might have been put there to keep people from driving off the edge of the cliff or something, but don’t worry, Jonghyun knows what he is doing.

Or Minho probably knows it, I think. Yup he knows this is the end.

Onew thinking of what chicken would taste like in the after life

Key who clearly is…… is….

Taemin who graduated to Taeman who believes every day is a roller coaster ride.

And these are the people who are traveling with us to….. Some place. Well anyway, the car crashes and the Shinee members arrive at Purgatory where they must party till the great Gods call them above.

Meanwhile in Purgatory, a party is in the making. . . .

*Knock! Knock!*
Special delivery!
A serving of Jonghyun with a side of Taeman, Minho, Key and Onew.

(Ho ho oho! I must have accidentally butt dialled them!)

The sweet Shinee members unpack themselves and settle in this strange room as a veiled lady come into the room serving glow-in-the-dark drinks.

No NO NOOOO Taeman showing that he is a grown up now by throwing away all the things his parents warned him about stranger and getting drinks from them, he is the first one to do a one-shot!

Oh damn you guys! How long were you out? Look at all the people that have come while you were sleeping!

I TOLD YOU NOT TO DRINK THAT! This is what you get for not listening to your elders!

Wasted, the Shinee members do what they are all too good at, DANCING!

Bruh! Spinning the bottle is so human, let’s spin Key instead!

Now we are talking!
Let us not stop there but throw a knife in it too!

This woman ha! yeah she came prepared.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WHAT HAS THIS WOMAN DONE! SHE HAS CREATED SLEEPY HOLLOW MINUS THE HORSIE!

Has no one witnessed what has happened! You guys! Your Key just turned into sleepy hollow dude. . .

Wait what? His insides look like lemons. Why?

Key limes! Haha! It is an inside SM joke, you wouldn’t understand.

ah! the ever hard working Key doesn't give up his lines although his body has long given up it's head.

Right! the party in Purgatory shall go on, my fellow Chingu! let us commence with the spinning of the bottles!

uh-ho! giving a kid a bat is dangerous! but giving it to an adult, uhh... not so dangerous, right? wrong! if the adult with the bat is Onew and somebody just screamed 'Chicken', bruh, you are a goner!

GOD GOOGLE TRANSLATE! TAEMAN'S EYES!

they are gone! and this is how, Chinguduels, the hills got eyes! they stole Taeman's eyes.

Things are going hay-wire in the Purgatory parteh. Minho decides to get a hold on the situation by bringing down the horror. He decides to be a host and make some lemon key pies for the guest- Minho bravely raps/dictates the necessary ingredients in the recipe.

Onew, my man, unable to bear the drama he created, takes down few shots and goes tipsy!

Is that taeman with his eyes closed in the background? boy you already lost your eyes, what you doing closing them?

Onew tries to wash out the hangover alone in the bathroom. oh the sadness.

In this moment, Key suddenly gets a premonition of some bad omen surrounding Onew and asks fellow Minho to go check on him.

Minho gives two hoots for that!

back in the backroom, everyone! Onew has completed his cleansing process and shows you his poreless face.

How will you get pores when there is no nose!
ingenious!
BRAH-HAH-HA!
AND THIS IS HOW VOLDEMORT CAME TO BE!

Meanwhile, at the centre of the party, Sleepy hollow and the hills have my eyes try to make collaboration which results in an epic fail.

WAIT A MINUTE!

Onew has his nose here!
tsk! tsk! tsk! SM, you should be careful next time. I am watching.

After watching an epic failed movie of massive proportion, fellow Jonghyun tries to swallow his gag by consuming some very "not-really-suspicious-looking" cookies.

Which back fires, and Jonghyun vomits rainbows! awwww, He is too pure for Purgatory ,y'all!

This yeoja, sensing competition, vomits back! don't ask me what kind a party this is, I guess competitive puking is a thing in Purgy parteh.

Onew {with his nose} finds a sort of serendipity in this toxic vomit. Below is a closer look of the species in it's calm and serene atmosphere.

After revealing his colourful vomit to the masses, Colourful Jonghyun gets the fancy of the Hostess who gives him a little something something!

oh, they grow up so fast! I can't watch!

woah! woah! woah! give the man his lips back lady! what the heck! I can't take this no more, Key loses his head, Taeman his eyes, Onew is Voldie and now Jonghyun is lipless, Life has no meaning now, but the party must go on......

As the party gives no care to my Lipless Jonghyun, the Hostess places Jonghyun's lips on the cake.

Why? because the cake wants to have itself and eat itself too! if that makes any sense to you. If not, pretend I never said that and move on.

Minho brings out his Lemon Key cake and pops the questions-
'Are you married to the music?'

no! I am waiting for you!!
But no one listens to our cries as they blow the candles and fulfill Minho's desire to be Flaming charisma!

As if this isn't too much to handle, they show the Hostess indulging in some fetish of her own- weird collages.

Satisfied by how it looks on paper, the hostess can't help but feel proud at how well she executed it in reality.
that ought to put them modern artists to shame!

FINALLY!
Key's head- check!
Taeman with no eyes- check!
Onew with no nose- check!
Jonghyun without his lips-check! and
Minho's body on the bed and flaming head equally distributed in glass containers all around the room- double check!

and now to add the finale! smash together the parts received from Shinee and create a man who too charming to realize that he just got married.

And that my friends is how Frankenstein actually lived.

what do you think?
did you like it?
