This Friday’s STATION’s dose
of melody comes from a number produced by TRAX’s Kim Jung Mo which features Super
Junior’s Heechul and MAMAMOO’s Wheein.
The trio’s put out a rock-ballad
titled “Narcissus,” which was produced by Kim Jung Mo with lyrics by Heechul.
The song sings about a man that wishes to break apart from a relationship and
from a woman that he still has feelings for. The song is a rock ballad and true
to its genre the song sways and balances the best of both genre and further elevates
the essence of the song. It is a pretty song that gives a Japanese song feel,
if you get me.
The music video features model Kim Jin Kyung who
is the sole star of the film. The story for this music video was also written
by Kim Heechul and it gives a first person perspective of being in a
relationship with Jin Kyung. The music video shows a day in life of dating Jin
Kyung, enjoying time with her but towards the end it is clear that the
relationship is in tatters.

Overall this
song is really good to listen to and I really love WheeIn’s voice in this duet.
Both Heechul and WheeIn’s vocals blend well and is worth listening to just for
their performance in the song.
