MAYBE I'M JEALOUS

Vixx came up with this incredible concept of Greek gods for their upcoming albums and to start of the concept on a good leg, they dropped their much anticipate mini album titled “Zelos”.

According to the internet, in Greek mythology, Zelus or Zelos was the son of Pallas and Styx. Zelus and his winged siblings Nike stood in attendance at Zeus' throne. Zelos personifies dedication, emulation, eager rivalry, envy, jealousy, and zeal. Having this in mind, VIXX focuses on the jealousy and envious virtue of Zelos for this album.

The mini album has a total of three songs which are Dynamite (다이너마이트), Six Feet Under (), 손의이별 (Farewell Hands). So lets get on with it! I was bombarded by some amazing melody from the get go with "Dynamite". The song is amazing in terms of musicality and I read that a lot of them felt a certain different vibe in this track because it is a different path than the ones VIXX usually takes. But I applaud them for taking the risk for the song is fun and really peppy to listen to. The music video is different but I like how each member has his own space, colour and theme... and when they come together it really is dynamite!

"Six Feet Under" starts off with a whisper and then sky rockets towards eternity... I really like how this song doesn't slowly progress to the top but starts from the tops and soars even higher! that is the adrenaline like feel this song gives me. "Six Feet Under" has one of the most unusual vibe to it which is compelling and intriguing and Ravi's rap is one of the things you have listen yourself to believe the awesomeness of it.

And then we have "Farewell Hands" which is a slow ballad number. If you thought that these boys could only captivate you by singing about chains and supernatural, transcendental love, you are wrong. "Farewell Hands" takes you back to the G.R.8.U era where they stepped down to simple love songs and even here, they literally crush it.

So far I am loving the touching lyrics and the moving high notes. I am expecting more and I know as a fellow Starlight that VIXX would deliver more than I asked for.
