ZIA! also known as one of the most moving and mesmerizing OST singing sensations, Zia is one of those phenomenal voices that, I don't know exactly how to say it, but are meant to sing ballads of heartbreak only because of the weight that the voice gives them.. I hope that made sense..
ZIA recently dropped a digital singles album titled "White" which has two songs with the most generic heartbreak song titles- "Tears" and "That man".
"Tears" talks about how breaking up results in the girl feeling as though time itself has frozen. It is an scary situation if you think about it- I mean the worst thing just happened and all of a sudden time froze but you didn't, scary right?
In the song, ZIA believes that the only way time can go on is if the man comes back and gives her "her tomorrow" as the lady is confused as to what the future holds for her. A lot of lonely images and references here.. making this a very very sad song and ...
The music video shows a girl, I am guessing she has just broken up with her "namja-chingu" and is in the process of moving out of her man's house. She is seen and shown with boxes of memories cluttered around her and with each box she opens, she revisits the happy past and the wound only gets deeper.. with boxes like these, who needs enemies?
The next song is "That Man" or '"the man" or just "man" or I think you know who... the song if you have guessed by now is another ballad melody that sings about that man or .... and how he has potentially left her, deserted her. Another sad and moving number that makes me want to hold a candle and sway
Songs like these make me feel glad that I am not in a relationship..
