AOA, also
known as the Ace of Angels is a girl group which has a good number of sub-units
under its belt from AOA Black to AOA White and now a new three membered
sub-unit AOA Cream!
Consisting of Hyejeong,
Yuna and Chanmi, the trio came out with their debut single titled “I’m Jelly
BABY”(?)…..
Jelly of what? First of all… I do not know
what “Jelly” is supposed to signify…. I sure hope it is not that slang/ sad
abbreviation to the word “Jealous”. Because if it is then I am sad… just sad to
hear that…
Hate to be
rude, but a majority number of Korean pop Idols are known for their not-so-fluent-
English and the last thing I want is for you to come up with or promote slang
words like this.. It is fun to sad but not nice to implement..
Moving on with
the song, “I’m Jelly Baby” is in fact a song of jealousy infused revenge themed
song where the girl finds out that she has been two- timed by her boyfriend and
so to show him up, she decides to “Scold him(all night long)” … I am not saying
this, they sang it themselves.. The song speaks of how the girls are strong and
will fight to get the man they love on their side…
The music
video incorporates some magical effects into it.. once one of the girl finds
out that her boyfriend is two-timing with another girl just outside the café..
she and her two friends transform into magic wielding women who then go and
have fun pranking the boy.. hey hey hey! Three girls picking on one boy - that
is assault!
The acting in
this music video is DISASTER! They are just not good, the actions seem a bit
too exaggerated and fake… till the end, the boy doesn’t realise that the three
girls are wielding magic and controlling him.. really, when they are just one
table across from you and holding big “CardCaptor Sakura” inspired wands? Either
you is blind or you is just one sad little boy.. better luck next time.. all of
you..
