Were any of you worried as hell when you found out that Alexandra Reid was going to be a member of the girl group RaNia, I sure was! Well part of me wanted to be her but I think we have all spent a good number of years immersed in the Kpop industry to learn that foreigners are not treated on the same pane as the locals, let alone that even other Asians find it difficult to survive in the idol music industry.
I saw the music video and the performance the group gave where Alexandra was more like a featuring member than a fixed one and that was because her Visa had some complications preventing her from preparing the dances with the other RaNia member.
When I saw the group performing I was tensed, but happy for Alexandra. If this pans out well for her, she is not only paving the way for herself but countless many like her who wish to be on screen with their idols rather than sit on the other side and watch.
