A new month and a new girl group! The most adorable looking four-membered girl group MIXX has released their first single album- “Oh Ma Mind”

MIXX is said to majorly focus on hip-hop and R&B based “urban music” and their first single album, titled “Oh Ma Mind,” features a simple drum sound with a gentle swaying melody which is set to represent that subtle “urban” feel to the song.

Like every spring number, this song is about a girl who happens to have a crush on a guy and suddenly musters up courage to confess to the aforementioned “namja”. Thought the essence of the song is a topic often dealt with, something about the song and the girls singing it is different and refreshing. In short what I am telling you is that "Oh Ma Mind" is a surprisingly subtle yet alarmingly addictive track which will be stuck in "Yo' Mind" for the next few days.

I really love the way the music video is shot, there are lot of techniques and styles used here, that is it pure visual treat.

Not to mention that the girls are very pretty to looks at as well! there is a lot tongue in cheek references in this music video as well and also multiples images that break the scenes giving it a haphazard pace.

Also on a side note, Liyah the short haired pretty girl keeps missing out on the group choreography scenes.

I love the colours, the songs and the group so I am pretty much looking forward to what more they come up with in the future. Let me know what you think about MIXX down in the comments box below!

It is Friday and it’s time to do a review on STATION’s new music release of the week! And this week we have the every so talented vocalist of EXO Chen who features with female singer Heize in a song produced by Vibe’s Jae Hyun Ryu titled “A lil’ Something”. A little something of what, you ask? A little something of this….

And a little something of love as well.

The song sings about two friends who are aware that they feel a little something for the other. The man sings about how he wants to tell the woman how he feels but tenses up with the situation. Chen sings ever so clearly about the hesitations of love and Heize adds the female perspective to the song. The two harmonize well, but I wouldn’t necessary say that the two sound well together. ‘Lil’ Soemthing’ is a pretty song to listen and the music accompaniment is spot on snazzy!

The music video shows Chen and Heize working as the crew members behind the scenes of a fashion show that is about to start. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the models getting ready and getting some finishing touches, Chen the stage hand gets chummy and eyes the lady of his affection a set number of times.

It is adorable that he is so enamoured by her that is obvious to the ones around him. Way to be subtle, Chennie!

As with most female leads, Heize plays the focused woman who pretends that she doesn’t notice Chen until the very end.

Since the majority of the song is about the man’s perspective, Chen gets a lot of screen space. Yey for me! ahahhahah

Overall, the song is springy, has a lot of energy! Worth a listen as STATION has once again proved that it is capable of putting out really good music.

Spring is in the air and what better way to welcome the beautiful season by giving out a sweet duet. JYP Entertainment has climbed on board the band wagon of releasing inter group collaborative songs and one such collaborative project is Bernard Park and Wonder Girls‘ Hyerim duet song “With You”!

Bernard Park and Hyerim’s song “Without You” is a sweet love song about falling in love. The lyrics are simple and speak about how the man always keeping an eye out for his lady love and speaks about how he is enamoured by her, her shape, her eyes, her mannerism and her very presence. “With You” is a really sweet love song that is worth listening.

The music video shows a group of friends going out on a camping trip. In this trip, Bernard Park captures Hyerim in her very old camera and as the song goes on, the group run around and play. The visuals are really pretty and the end only adds more sugar to the tale. The music video is a must watch.

The last Friday of March is here and STATION has dropped one of the most realistic and relatable works since it began. Amber dropped her digital single for STATION this week with a moving motivational song titled “Borders”.

Now before I begin with the review, I think it is best that I post what Amber has to say about the song first.

Credit to the owner.

“Borders” can easily be anybody’s pick me up song for it is not just for the mind, but for the soul. Amber starts strong and finishes with a band. The lyrics are simplistic and clear as it touches upon self-confidence, standing up for once self, faith and making it through the struggles.

Time and again, Amber sings about fighting and standing up for who she is and what she feel, so much so that it really does feel like a regular Amber is singing this song instead of the famous f(x) Amber.

The music video shows Amber inside a light tube built cube as she sings about fighting the odds. Three different visuals are show one of which includes a boy and his mother; another is about a woman who seems to have issues with her body image and a man who is at a standstill in life. Aside from the young boy and his mother, the other two individuals are show as though they are choosing to end their life, but fortunately do not go down that path and instead choose to live life the way it is.

A truly motivational song that is simple yet very addictive. By far the best work from Amber.

Dear Man with a voice of an angel,
I am writing you this letter because I sincerely admire and love the way you sing and I want you to know how I feel. You probably know this already but I will tell you this anyway, you have a voice of an angel and I wouldn’t be wrong even if I said that your voice is the voice of God and whenever I hear you sing, it feels like I am on a cloud, floating, with not a single care in the world. So please, continue singing with this voice of yours until the entire world rings with your sweet echoes. Don’t stop until you have reached your goal.
Until then and probably till eternity if possible,
Your faithful fan ever since you sang “Replay”.

This would probably be the letter I would spam SHINEE’s Jonghyun with. Well since there are miles of separation between us which prevents me from being in the same country as him, I will have to keep this letter in this blog for now.

When I heard that STATION was going to drop a song that features Jonghyun in it, I flew.

Heritage is a mixed group consisting of Yim Hyo Chan and Gyeongseon I, known for their unique sense of musicality and moving vocals singing of gospel truths. Together with Heritage, Jonghyun was roped in on this project and the result is this melodious magic with enchants anyone who listens to it. The song is a simple song of feel good melody and the trio of vocals match perfectly. There is nothing to say about this song as all words would fail in describing this collaboration. This is a moving melody that is better heard of than read about.

Sad to see that out of the entire music content STATION let out this is one song which is not accompanied by a music video. Highly hoped to see Jonghyun and Heritage in the video..

SM’s musical venture media – STATION had recently uploaded its 5th Track which is “덕수궁 돌담길의 ”, in English that would be “Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway”. The song is sung by Yoona of Girls’ Generation and features 10cm.

“덕수궁 돌담길의 봄” is a romantic song professing of love, innocence and confessions. The song speaks about a couple who believe strongly in their love and feel that they will never break up. Even if the couple walk down Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway, their love will not shatter and they will be loyal to one another. What is so specific about Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway? Because there is an interesting old legend which states that if you walk down the Deoksugung stonewall road with your loved one, you two will eventually break up.

Enough of that back to the song, the singer of 10cm, Kwon Jung-Yeol has a voice that melts into the song, literally… and if that wasn’t sweet enough, Yoona’s voice sprinkles sweetness all over that for you. The two have the most mellowed down, subtle ringing voices that it sticks to your ears all day, especially the chorus.

The music video is unique because it has been shot in a first person point of you.. you know like those Rpg shooting games where you can only see your gun? Only you do not have any guns here, nor does your hand even make an appearance here… you and everyone watching the music video merely look and gaze at Yoona while she walks around in what looks like a temple. We indulge in some talk and take photos of her and most of the time she blushes… cute. For what I think could be the first time, SM actually put down the lyrics both in Hanguel and in English, a great effort, much appreciated even if I have to squint my eyes and look at them in an angle, I still appreciate the effort to put down the lyrics.

The song is beautiful… kudos to that… the voices truly blend well and is a recommended listen, because I enjoyed it. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

A cute collaboration duet song by SUNYOUL, who is the main vocal of UP10TION and YUJU, the main vocal of GFRIEND has descended upon my ears! hhahhah. The digital single is titled 'Cherish' which has dropped just mere days before White day.

This sweet love song 'Cherish', sings about a couple who have fallen in love at first sight. All the hesitations, the overwhelming feelings and the sensation of being in love all flood into one song that is so sweetly sung by Sunyoul and Yuju. The song is cute and has a really hooking chorus line that perfectly phrases the love at first sight concept.

The music video shows the two awkwardly trying to get comfortable with one another during their photo shoots and singing. In other words, loads and loads of footage of cute moments worth watching. The two are obviously new to this and it can be seen in the way they move and act but in all, the song is simple and something more like a pick me up melody. Take a listen of it for yourself and let me know in the comments section below.

Jung Joon Young is here! Last year he was dabbling into some music, Television show appearances, movies, and many such performances. But now the man has now decided to kick off the year of 2016 with a mellow rock ballad titled Sympathy.

In the song “Sympathy”, Jung Joon Young features a female singer Seo Young Eun. The song is mind blowing and Jung Joon Young’s voice is bold and gruff which is so attention grabbing. The song speaks of a relationship that has gone sour and the way it has been penned makes it feel so realistic. Seo Young Eun’s voice is equally strong and has a good earthiness to it, like it terms of depth I mean. The voices blend beautifully but in the end, it is the gruff voice of Jung Joon Young that rings forever in your ears.

The music video is shot is what looks like China and shows Jung Joon Young and his girlfriend living a rather outrageous life of drinks and gambles. All things head south when Jung Joon Young starts eyeing the seductive looking waitress in the gambling house. From then on, the relationship turns sour, Jung Joon Young lusts for the waitress and frequents the gambling house just to be with her. The music video ends with him and his girlfriend parting ways, and Jung Joon Young wandering down the streets, which isn’t as bad as it sounds for the man rocks a pony tail like no other and looks rather suave with his look.

You can see it for yourself in the music video below!

These four girls of MAMAMOO are so cute to watch! They each have their own flair and charisma that shines through be it when they are alone or as a group!

MAMAMOO is currently gearing for their official album "Melting" due on the 26th of February and what better way to get your fans excited then by giving out a song from the album ahead of its release. This so called surprise single titled "1 Cm of Pride" came with a music video! so that was a surprise.

"1 Cm of Pride" or also known as "I am taller than you" is a song where the four girls turn towards themselves and harmlessly banter about their height. It just so happens that each member is exactly one centimeter taller than the other. To be more elaborate in the manner Moohyul is taller than Solar who is taller than Hwasa who is taller than Wheein. Thank god these girls aren't related...

The song is cute and is addictive. It has a touch of hip-hop in it which is genre these girls don't usually cater too and that only makes this song that much more exciting to listen to. The chorus has "MAMAMOO MAMAMOO" in it which has been ringing in my ears for the past three hours.

The music video is as candid as can be and with Solar impersonating herself to be Jessi, adds that much of fun and fancy to the song. The girls are charming and adorable! I can't stop obsessing, you have to take a listen

let me know what you think in the comments section below!

Lee Soo Man recently put out this conference where he spoke about the plans he had for SM and its artists for the years 2016 and as I was listening to all the technicalities and what-nots he said, I was intrigued… which is something that rarely happens to me.. I mean this was how I was in class everyday.

So anyway, aside from the new 40 membered boy group they is supposedly dropping this year, I was keen on Mr.Man’s idea of releasing music content. STATION, he called it, which would be SM’s own personalised digital music content launch pad where artists under SM would release solos, or collaborations every week for a year.. which comes close to 50+ content

Now this is a lot of work but gets a lot of attention from the crowd.
And what better way to get yo people’s attention by bringing down the woman who had one really good year in her solo debut – Taeyeon! Taeyeon, really got my attention with her cute haircut and the insanely beautiful teaser images. In the midnight of the 3rd of February Taeyeon dropped “Rain” and “Secret”.

“Rain” is a simple jazzy blues infused melody that talks about being in one’s own world kind a like misconnected from the world. The song is beautiful and mellow, it’s made for that not so perfect days you get every now and then, if you get what I am saying..

Taeyeon’s voice really shines through in this song and you can see that she has taken extra efforts for this song. Her high notes and “Doruru’s” are worth listening to all day, every day..

The music video shows scenes oscillating from black and white to colour. Taeyeon looks like she is brooding and waits in her room as it slowly fills up with water. Music satisfaction and pictorially fascinating, Taeyeon’s music video for “Rain” is truly a success!

The second song in the digital single release is “Secret”. “Secret” starts off with this twinkling like piano keys that reminds me of “See you again” by Charlie Puth. “Secret” is a romanticised love song with a slow dance along like pace. The song is contrary to “Rain” in its tempo and feel. This song is like the last song you play in prom night..

Aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnddddddddddd that brings us to the end of today’s post! What do you think? Is there any recommendation you would like to make? Let us know in the comments section below..

When I found out that Park Yu Chun had recorded a ballad song before he took off to do his military duties, I was touched. But when I learnt that the title of the song was ”How Much Love Do You Have In Your Wallet”, I thought it was an attack on how people forge relationships based on how much one earns... or maybe I just thought it was a twisted reference to "Jerry Maguire"

But no no no! My bay number infinity Mr.Park Yu Chun was kind enough to actually record a heartfelt ballad dedicated to fathers and mothers all around the world.
aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww

The ballad, interestingly titled ”How Much Love Do You Have In Your Wallet” is a moving melody which draws home the message happiness being derived from being together. Yu Chun’s lyrics in this song are simple, direct and create multiple imagery in the mind of the listener. The song has a swaging melody and is slow but surely plucks at the emotions. This mellow number brings attention to minute details which are often times taken for granted.

The music video shows a hard working construction worker who tries to make ends meet for his family. The music video sketches out a middle aged struggling father’s day as he attends his duties, eats and drinks with his friends and walks back home alone. A certain scene in the music is bound to make people cry. The music video is heartfelt and resonates well with Yu-Chun’s ballad track.

“How much love you have in your wallet” is bound to make you question what we take for granted in life, especially relationships with family members. once you see this, you will pretty much be questioning yourself

Forever my sweet hear and prince of my imaginary world, K.will joined hands with the mesmerising ballad duo girls of Davichi (Kang Minkyung, Lee Haeri) and together they released a new song titled "You call it romance".

This track is supposedly based on the quickly rising catch phrase "you call it romance". (Don't ask me, I am lost about this, but maybe you can help me? tell me what you think in the comment section below.)

It's about the overwhelming feelings that come up after accepting to be on a relationship with someone. K.will sings about a tragic love triangle where the relationship that starts off with two men fighting over one another for the love of one girl and also speaks about the indecisive nature of the girl who can't seem to choose the right man.

(On a side note, I admired and respect Alan Rickman. May his soul rest in peace. .. . )

K.will's voice, soothingly acknowledges the girl’s dilemma and consoles the girl by singing to her how he will try to understand and wait for the girl despite his heart being broken in the process. The song has a catchy melody and the cute repetitiveness of some of the lyrics made it refreshing and fun to listen to.

The music video shows the girl trying to manage the two guy in a cute and very realistic kind of manner. The girl’s feelings and emotions are mimicked in her room atmosphere and that adds a sense of colour and fun to the music video. The ending of the music video is a must watch cause what you watch will flip you and you will be like...

The song in all has the perfect feel for the winter season and is definitely a must listen. Bruh! here listen to it here.

UM......... Hello, Mr. Kim, God called.
He said he wanted his voice back.

How many times have you told yourself that 'He is Human, this is a human' voice' whilst listening to Kim JongHyun sing. Trust me, no matter how many times you repeat it, it just wont do, he makes you wonder if voices like this truly exists. JongHyun's voice is pure manna.

With his solo concert ‘The Story by Jong Hyun’ fast approaching, Shinee’s Jonghyun dropped this very special album Story Op. 1. Arriving. As if dying over not witnessing the concert in person wasn't bad enough, you ease my decent to death with this album?

The album comes with nine tracks which are ‘End of a day’, ‘U & I’, ‘Like You’, ’Diphylleia grayi’, ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘I`m sorry’, ‘02:34’, ‘Fine’ and ‘Maybe tomorrow’

The album starts with the title track, ‘End of a day’. This song starts off with some moving melodies and Jong hyun’s voice washes out the score and penetrates deep into the lyrics. The song is sung is a wispy manner and rather gently lifts the moods. The music video which accompanies this song is shot in an unusual manner much like to cater to the song. The screen is divided into two with each side showing the man and the woman respectively. The two wander about and end up coming together. The song and the music video build up on one another.

In ‘U & I’, Jong Hyun tries to bring up the tempo and the mood. The song has classic tech music in it with auto tuned rhythm, and Jong Hyun shows off his rather unique crooning voice.

‘Like You’ keeps up the up tempo beats. The song has a loud clapping beat and the chorus is loud, demanding attention. This song has a lot to offer and makes for a fun listen. The chorus is particularly catching.

‘’Diphylleia grayi’’ also known as just Diphylleia or more commonly known as the Skeleton flower is a peculiar white petal flower which turns transparent when in contact with water.

Much like the delicate petals of this flower, Jong hyun’s voice merely floats above the melody. The melody is powerful and that contradicts with Jong Hyun’s melting voice. This song is true perfection and is a must listen to in this album. The best of Jong Hyun’s work and his vocal ability. My personal favourite!

Things go mellow jazz with ‘Happy Birthday’, Jong Hyun once again choses to sing in a whisper like tune but gains momentum towards the end of the song.

The violins and Jong Hyun’s voice harmonize into perfection in the chorus of ‘I’m Sorry’, the song gives off a serious feel because of its multitude of instrumental interludes. The song is simple yet out of the ordinary with its musicality.

It is raining is the next track and that gives off the cold left out feeling which ’02: 34’ seem to elude. The song is particularly brighter in mood and tempo than the other songs. The song even incorporates what sounds to be a rap by Jong Hyun himself which is different and makes up for a surprise listen. This song incorporates some unusual sound bites and is worth listening to.

Jong Hyun incorporates some techno beats in ‘Fine’ as the song raises the temperature. The song is daring but deals with the subject in a light manner. The song has an addictive beats that would surely make one move to its beats. The reaches its high point where Jong Hyun croons in ways that adds more tension to the track.

‘Maybe Tomorrow’ has a sweet subtle beat and the jazz like rhythm elevates Jong Hyun’s voice. The chorus is unique as it incorporates a female voice asking ‘Really’. This song seems to end rather short than the other song but is a great song to end the album with.

The grandness of musical instruments used throughout the album cannot be taken lightly. Jong Hyun weaves his voice around these music score and in many songs in the album, gives a portion of the song to the music alone. Jong Hyun shows off his credibility in this album.

Too much is never a bad thing in Kpop.

I cannot stop obsessing over this song’s music video that I just had to put it up here! The song has such a simple best but it instantly gets into your head. You will be singing this, I tell you, Chingu

This video is so so so cute. The lady in the music video dances just the way I do, hahah!. The room is so oddly decorated though and the photo frames only add to it, you know the whole uncomfortable first time kinda feel. What I did find a bit weird was the unintentionally touch hand incidents which occur almost too many times in the music video- either you get a bigger popcorn bowl or get two of each. And why keep the toilet paper??? I guess they ran out of things to touch together

no offence, but these two listen to the television like it's their omma-nim!

The paper bag is so cute, like, aw mah gwad! I Can Not even! Right, Chingu? There is such a limited range of emotions you can put on top of a bag like this, but it delivered, from lip syncing to expressions of pleased, happy etc, kudos to that!

IF THAT WASN’T CUTE FOR YA, THE MUSIC VIDEO THROWS A CAT AT YOU!!

Not literally but, I mean, it looked so pretty.

I love how the music video ends with them watching the television and slowly closing their eyes. It sort of brings back the innocence which they threw out while they making out in the middle out the music video.

By the time the finished writing this, I had probably listened to the song about five times. How many times did you listen to it? is there some part in the music video that you found absolutely adorable? Um? Um? Did you? Well let me know then in the comments below!
